PETG is the recommended filament for almost all KingsCutter products: strong, durable, food-safe, and easy to print. PLA works for occasional use but wears out faster. Do not use ABS for food contact. For silicone molds that require heat resistance, PETG is mandatory.

Food-Safe Materials for 3D Cutters

Virgin PETG (without additives) is the only filament recommended for food contact. 3D printing creates micropores where bacteria can accumulate, so we recommend: hand washing, replacing every 6 months with frequent use, and using a food-safe epoxy sealant for maximum safety. Do not reuse cutters with raw egg dough without disinfecting them properly.
