How to Create Your First 3D Cookie Cutter

Quick answer

Upload an image to kingscutter.com/app, choose Cutter, adjust the size (5–20 cm), and download your STL. Print it in PETG at 0.2 mm layer height, 3 walls, and 15% infill. In 30 minutes you'll have your first cutter ready to use. Free, no sign-up, no installation.

1

Prepare your image

Choose an image with a clear outline. The more defined the edge, the better the result. These work well:

If your image has a background, don't worry — the system can detect the outline automatically or use chroma key if the background is green or blue.

2

Upload the image to the Designer

Go to kingscutter.com/app and drag your image to the upload area. You don't need to create an account to get started — everything works from the first click.

3

Choose the product type

Select Cutter in the product selector. You'll see a real-time 3D preview of how your cutter will look.

4

Adjust the measurements

Customize your cutter with these parameters: Height (15-50mm, I recommend 25mm), Wall thickness (0.8-2.0mm, I recommend 1.2mm), Size (5-20cm), Rounded edges (Yes/No).

5

Download and print

When you're happy with the result, download the STL file. Then take it to your 3D printer with these settings: PETG filament, 0.2mm layer, 3 walls, 15% infill, 230-250°C.

6

Time to cut cookies!

Once printed, your cutter is ready to use. Wash it with soap and water before first use. For cookie dough, lightly flour the edge before cutting so it doesn't stick.

Quick tips
Tip: For your first time, use a simple shape like a heart, star, or circle. You'll see how quick it is.

Tip: Always print with the cutter base on the bed. It doesn't need supports. Use a brim for better adhesion.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to design?
No. You upload any image (PNG, JPG, SVG) and the system automatically converts it into a cutter. You don't need to know CAD or 3D design.
Which images work best?
Simple silhouettes with defined edges. High-quality photos also work — the system detects the outline automatically. Avoid images with too much internal detail or complex backgrounds.
Can I try before paying?
Yes, the design and 3D preview are completely free. You only pay when you download the STL. You have free downloads to try it out.
What filament should I use to print it?
PETG is the standard: it's resistant, durable, and approved for food contact. PLA works for occasional use but wears out faster. Don't use ABS for food.
