Filled cookies are the trend taking over social media and the windows of the most modern bakeries. A crunchy cookie on the outside, with a creamy and surprising heart inside — and best of all: in any shape you want.
With the KingsCutter Filled Cookie Kit, you can design your own custom filled cookies in seconds. Forget boring round cutters. Now you can create filled cookies shaped like stars, hearts, unicorns, or your company logo.
What is a Filled Cookie Kit?
The Filled Cookie Kit is an exclusive KingsCutter product with two complementary pieces designed to work together:
- An outer cutter — defines the cookie shape and contains the filling
- An inner stamp/press — creates the perfect cavity for filling and can stamp a decorative design on the surface
The result is a cookie with defined edges, an inner cavity for filling (dulce de leche, Nutella, jam, chocolate cream, caramel, cheesecake) and a stamped design on the top.
Why are filled cookies revolutionizing baking?
Filled cookies aren't new, but what's changing is customization. Until now, you had two options: generic round cookies or paying a 3D designer for a custom mold.
With KingsCutter, the process is simple:
- Upload your image — logo, drawing, text or photo. AI detects edges and generates the silhouette
- Choose Filled Cookie Kit — among 16 product types, select this option
- Adjust the design — the system auto-generates the outer cutter and inner seal
- Download the STL — first download free, no credit card needed
- Print or order — if you have a 3D printer, use food-grade PETG. If not, order from one of our printing partners

How much filling goes into a filled cookie, and how do you seal it?
Filling should take up to 70% of the cavity depth: if you fill it flush, the filling overflows when you press the top on, wets the sealed dough ring and the cookie opens while baking. Place a portion the size of a small teaspoon in the centre, leave the dough ring at the edge free, and press the top down with your fingers until the 2 layers join. The tall-walled outer cutter acts as your guide: its inner edge marks exactly where that sealed ring should sit.
2 details change the result. First, roll the base slightly thinner than the top. Second, the filling must be cold or at room temperature: a hot or very runny filling dampens the dough and the seal lifts in the oven.
Data and measurements
| Item | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Food-grade PETG, safe for food contact (not PLA) | Product specification at kingscutter.com |
| Available sizes | 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 17 and 20 cm | kingscutter.com catalogue |
| Handle (puxador) | Included with the physical cutter; not sold as a separate accessory | Product information at kingscutter.com |
| Washing | Hand wash recommended; a dishwasher degrades PETG | Care guidance at kingscutter.com |
| Materials it works with | Fondant, cookie dough, polymer clay, foam and salt dough | Usage notes at kingscutter.com |
| Suggested dough thickness | 2 discs of about 5 mm (base and top) for a 10 cm cookie | Our own measurement in the workshop |
| Design scaling | The same drawing at 7 cm and at 20 cm keeps the silhouette and inner stamp in proportion | Our own measurement in the workshop |
Based on our own measurement in the workshop, a 10 cm filled cookie needs 2 discs of dough about 5 mm thick, one for the base and one for the top. With that pair of discs the 10 cm cutter travels cleanly and the inner stamp leaves the cavity at exactly the right depth for the top to close without cracking.
En la práctica
Based on our own measurement in the workshop, the system scales the whole outline when you change size: the same drawing cut at 7 cm and at 20 cm keeps the silhouette and the inner stamp in proportion, so you never have to redesign when the batch size changes.
From image to STL to baking tray
The workflow is short: upload your image, choose the product type and download a file ready for 3D printing. If you do not own a printer, you can order the physical piece with shipping to several countries. To understand why PETG is the right filament for food contact, read our comparison of PLA vs PETG in cookie cutters, and if you want to start from your own photo, see how to turn a photo into a 3D cutter.
With a Filled Cookie Kit, every filled cookie can carry your shape, your logo or your child's drawing, with a defined edge and an embossed top. The kingscutter.com library holds hundreds of designs and the first download is free: go to design at kingscutter.com, choose Filled Cookie Kit and try the kit with your own drawing. If you would rather receive the printed piece, the physical store ships to several countries.
